What is PTA?
PTA stands for Parent Teacher Association, but it is so much more than that: parents, grandparents, educators and legislators, neighbors and community leaders are all essential members of the PTA family and provide a powerful and effective voice for all children.
The official mission of the PTA is “to make every child’s potential a reality by engaging and empowering families and communities to advocate for all children.” When schools and families work together to support learning, everyone benefits: students do better in school and in life; parents become empowered; teacher morale improves; schools get better; and, communities grow stronger.
