Black History Month celebration
Save the date for our Black History month celebration Colors: Contributions of the African Diaspora on Thursday, February 27, 2020 from 5 pm to 8 pm. The celebration will feature local vendors of the African diaspora including food, clothing, bath and body products, demonstrations and more! All month long, Patton students are participating in a school wide STEM project focused on the African diaspora and all projects will be on display the evening of the celebration! This event is free and open to the community! Stay tuned for more details!

Volunteers needed for Career Days
We are welcoming Black professionals from the Austin community to Patton for Career Days on Feb 13 & Feb 25. We need parent volunteers to assist. Visit the Sign Up Genius page for more details and to see how you can help!

Arts Day News
We still have several volunteer spots open for Arts Day. Visit the Arts Day Sign Up genius page for position descriptions and to sign up. All volunteers must sign up by Feb 18. The Arts Day Committee wants to thank those who have already signed up and that have been helping. This event could not happen without the incredible support from parents.

We also need a photographer on Feb 28 for a special project. If you can help, please email Elexa Martinez.


Upcoming PTA dates
– Wednesday 02/12 – Arts Day / Texas Folklife entries for 3rd-5th graders are due. Submissions can be made to the office or to the student’s teacher.
– Wednesday 02/12 – Spirit Night at Chuck E Cheese, 3 pm to 9 pm
– Tuesday 02/18 – Arts Day volunteer signups closes.
– Thursday 02/27 – Colors: Contributions of the African Diaspora Black History Celebration, 5 pm to 7 pm

Purchase yearbooks online from Josten’s. Share your photos from Patton events to be considered for the yearbook by emailing them to pattonyearbook@gmail.com. Please include information about the picture such as the event, name, and grade of student(s) pictured.
